In Scripture God, the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son, and The Holy Spirit are clearly identified (Matthew 28:19, John 1:1, and II Corinthians 13:14).

Paul E. Little, in his book 'Know What You Believe' describes the Holy Spirit as “the executor of the purposes and plans of the Godhead" or the Trinity (p. 121).

What are the plans and purposes God has placed on your heart? Write down how you believe the Holy Spirit enables you to execute them?

Christians are saved but are not exempted from falling into temptation (Romans 3:23). The Holy Spirit enables the believer not to give in to the desires of their sinful nature. He guides the thoughts and motives of the believer by convicting him or her of negative thoughts and actions. When Christians sin against God, it is the Holy Spirit that causes them to seek forgiveness and brings them to repentance.

Living our lives apart from the presence of the Holy Spirit would be like living our life apart from God. Without the Holy Spirit, Christ would not have been able to show us how to live. Paul E. Little in Know What You Believe reminds us that “just as we cannot save ourselves apart from the work of the Holy Spirit, neither can we live the life of victory or serve the Lord effectively without the Sprit (p. 128). We must allow the Holy Spirit to work within our hearts and minds to be transformed into the people that God intends for us to be, to honor and glorify God.

How has the Holy Spirit impacted your life as a Christian? Describe at least 3 major things.

So, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27

2024 is right around the corner. Time to reassess our relationships with God. If you know him, then you know who you are.

Write one thing down about yourself that truly reflects the image and likeness of God and that you will carry with you throughout 2024.

My prayer for you and me: Create in us clean hearts O God, and renew right spirits within us as you move us forward into the new year. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen. (Psalm 51:10)

“I am a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away, and all things have become new.”(Read: II Corinthians 5:17)

Do you believe what God says about you?

Ponder on these questions for just a moment. What is the first thing someone will say about you - about your appearance - about your attitude - about your character? Will it be positive or negative? Who will they compare you to? What type of person or what person or persons will they say you are like? Will they see Jesus in you by your actions, words, and attitude? Will they recognize you as a son or daughter of your Heavenly Father?

Think very carefully before you respond or better yet, pray this prayer:

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24) In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

What continues to be on your mind that seems to be weighing you down because it is not a good thought or attitude about someone or something? Write it down.

Now pray: Lord, you have searched and know my heart. These things that I have written, I know, are not pleasing to you. I now give them to you Father, and I allow the Holy Spirit to move in my heart, mind, and soul and change these thoughts to ones that will please you. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Read Philippians 4:8, and then write down how you can change those thoughts to positive or good ones.

Take a moment to write one thing that seems to constantly bother you and why? Now read and meditate on II Corinthians 12:9-11. Allow these scriptures to speak to you. Now put your trust in God, believing that he is with you through it all and he is giving you the strength to overcome it all! You got this, cause God got you❣️
