WOOD BAT FALL BALL LEAGUE
We will be offering a Team Division and Draft Division
Both will be strict bowling motion, following the rules in USA Softball Modified Rule 6B section 3 and articles defining 10 man.
Illegal Pitches will be a ball on the batter and a base for any runners on.
Adds will be voted on for both divisions by the Executive Board for the Fall Ball League.
ALL WOOD bats (including bamboo) with a legible ASA/USA stamp. The bat cannot contain any metal/composite component. The following three corndog bats are approved as an exception: the orange and white Demarini corndog, the blue and white Demarini corndog, and the green and white Demarini corndog. The bat must be 2 ¼ inches in diameter. All bats must be approved and stickered by the league before they can be used in-game.
Helmets are required
8 game season w/ double elimination playoffs (9/3-10/12)
5 weeks of regular season and one week for playoffs
Games will be on Monday and Thursday, with Wednesday as needed for holidays or makeups
To be eligible to participate in playoff games, players must have played in a minimum of 50% of their team’s regular season games played since the first time they were added to the roster
Players can play in both the team division and draft division, there are no crossover player limits
Team Division:
$1,200 per team (No player fees)
Non-registered teams need to register with USA Softball ($50 in addition to the $1,200)
9 man fielding, Bat 9 or 10
Draft Division:
$85 per player
10 man fielding, Bat up to 12 for regular season, playoffs will be the normal 9 or 10 batters.
$85 per add (waiver system)
Draft will be held to determine teams
Pitchers and Catchers will be entered and drafted together.
If anyone is interested in being a team captain, please reach out! Captains will be on the roster.
All other rules, please refer to the GKMSA By Laws, Constitution or Code of Conduct. Anything else, please follow the USA Softball Rule Book.
