Central Nebraska Senior Golf Assoc.

Central Nebraska Senior Golf Assoc. Membership is open to all golfers age 50+ (age is as of Dec 31 of the current year). Dues are $25 per year. We have 30+ tournaments each year.

Tournaments cost from $50-$65 per player to enter, and all include 18 holes of golf, cart, and a meal.

The spirit of CNSGA was again exemplified during a post-round discussion with one of our members. We all want to play our best and , perhaps, win a a few sheckels for the effort. But today, one of our winners was dedicating his round to his Dad. His dad died 16 years ago today and our fellow member wanted to play well for his father. He was certain that dad willed in a few putts allowing him to win. Well done. Tough to compete against Heaven!

Like Boris Yeltsin climbing on a tank in central Moscow after the putsch of 1991, one of the Dunes' fearless leaders ascended a cart to deliver announcements to an unruly, yet eager crowd of anxious golfers. Nice to know he could hold court and relax on the 19th hole after rounds well played.

The newly minted Nebraska Dunes in Axtell hosted 90+ highly hydrated, flag hunting sticks today. Like the adjacent cornstalks, we sweltered in the low country humidity, knowing our bodily sacrifice could lead to what Moe Norman called, " the feeling of greatness" on the next shot. These guys began their search for said feeling on the first drives of the day. In Axtell, NE the Dunes abide!

God's Country For Old Men + Crossroads of the Sandhill's = Thedford, NE! 42 lucky guys gathered for a Brigadoon-like experience at the gentle confines of Thedford Golf Club. A gentle zephyr from the north rustled the cottonwood leaves creating a zen- like environment. No road or equipment noise to interrupt the peace. Just the sound of golf balls hitting trees and roars of joy after holing putts. Felt like we were the only people on earth for 7 hours.

With the season almost 90 percent complete we're still signing up new members! The word is spreading.
