There’s something special about a home opener and apparently, it’s even more special when the Blues Brothers are in the building! 😎🎶

They brought the energy, the smiles, and maybe just a little bit of game day magic to our first home match of the season.

So thankful for a set of senior dads just living their best life by supporting their daughters through their last high school season.

BRANSON BROUGHT OUT THE BEST IN OUR BULLDOGS!

Our Kearney Volleyball girls showed up BIG this weekend in Branson, finishing the day 2-2-2 and giving us so much to be proud of! Allowing us to finish second in the silver bracket.

What makes this group special? Our seniors. Their leadership, composure, and willingness to pour into the girls around them has been incredible to watch. They are leading a team made up of 1 junior, 7 sophomores, and 1 freshman. That’s a young team. Really young.

At one point, we overheard a grandparent from another team say to her husband, “It looks like Kearney is playing with a bunch of 14 year olds.”

Indeed we are. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. 💜

These “14 year olds” are HUNGRY.
They aren’t scared of much.
They compete.
They ask questions.
They bounce back.
And most importantly, they are GREAT teammates.

Pair that hunger with the experience and leadership of our seniors, and we have what we believe is a pretty special mixture.

We have a LOT of volleyball left to play, and this group is just getting started.

Young. Hungry. Fearless. Connected.

Sounds like a pretty good recipe for a successful season to us. 🏐🔥
