“What should I focus on when I workout?” Great question and the answer lies within your goals.
Is your goal to lose weight? Strength training and cardio
Is your goal to improve muscle definition? Strength training and cardio
Is your goal to improve strength? Strength training and cardio
While all the “answers” appear the same, they are merely similar.
In general:
Lose weight = 50% strength training, 50% cardio
Improve muscle definition = 75% strength training, 25% cardio
Improve strength = 90% strength training, 10% cardio
There is no one size fits all plan or strategy. What’s right for you is dependent on your goals and your ability to execute your plan.
