🔥 Speedo Winter Juniors | University of Texas 🔥
What a meet. What a team. What a performance.
Our athletes rose to the moment and delivered fearless racing at Speedo Winter Juniors, earning the best women’s team finish in Empire KC history.
🏆 800 Free Relay — CHAMPIONS to kick off the meet
🥈 200 Medley Relay — 8th place (same night!)
💥 200 Free Relay — 5th place on Friday
🔥 400 Free Relay — 7th place to close it out
➡️ Overall Women’s Team Finish: 7th Place
➡️ Highest placement ever for Empire KC women at this meet
💥 Shoutout to Josh Battison, our only boys qualifier, who delivered strong performances and represented Empire KC with confidence and grit on a big stage.
This was a total team effort—grit, confidence, and belief from start to finish. So proud of this group and the standard they continue to raise.

One of our favorite traditions of the year — the Turkey Pull!
Lots of laughs, lots of effort… and LOTS of names getting pulled over and over again 😅

Our swimmers showed up with huge energy today, cheering each other on and keeping the lane vibes electric. Moments like these remind us why this team is so special — hard work, fun, and a whole lot of heart. ❤️💛

🏊‍♀️ Another year, another honor for Empire KC!
Over the years, EKC swimmers have proudly earned spots at USA Swimming’s National Select Camp, an elite experience for the nation’s top emerging athletes.
Past selectees include Avery Karl, Andy Baklanov, and Lucy Velte — and this year, Clara Seemann carries on that incredible tradition! 💫
Our legacy of excellence even extends to our coaching staff — Head Coach Marjorie Sherard has served as a Head Coach for the National Select Camp in years past, a testament to the standard of leadership and commitment that defines Empire KC.
Hard work. Dedication. Growth. That’s what Empire KC is all about.

What a way to kick off our season! 🙌 This past weekend we had our Intrasquad meet and it was all smiles, stories, and swimming.

✨ Our younger swimmers got to meet and race alongside the older ones.
✨ The older swimmers shared fun swim stories and cheered on the little ones.
✨ And together, we started the season with the best mix of competition and team spirit.

It’s always one of our favorite meets of the year — a reminder that we’re one big EKC family, from the newest swimmers to our seasoned veterans. 🖤❤️🤍💫
