Weekend update. Looks like I am keeping my schedule for the October gunshow. All the G10 knives got cord wrapped and are ready for sheaths. All AEB-L stainless steel knives got bevels ground and scales rough shaped. I have 4 knives that need to get rough shaped then it is on to contouring and texturing. Goal is to be working on sheaths next weekend and getting them done. It is going to be a busy week.

The last 3 steel knives are getting their bevels groung in today. You can even find Stalagmites on the grinding table too. They are not just in caves.

The October Gun Show is right around the corner. The 3rd and 4th of October. Nine of the last 13 knives have their bevels ground before I start the scales. My goal is to have all 13 done by end of Saturday so that i can start scales on Sunday and finishing them through next week. That way I just have to complete the finish product and start working on sheaths. So much to do and so little time. I am pushing to have 21 AEB-L stainless steel knives, 14 G10 knives and 12 pew pew stands for the show.

Weekend update for the upcoming October Gunshow prep. The Gunshow will be on the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.

Picture 1, eleven G10 knives all ground and buffed out. They are ready for their cord wrapped handles.

Pictures 2-4 are 3 Seax blades and 1 Huinakolu (triangle) knife that all got their bevels ground and finalized. The Seax knives have 3 different type of bevels ground on them. The bottom one has a flat grind. The middle has a hollow grind and the top one has a compound grind on it. A hollow grind across 80% of the blade with a flat grind at the tip. They are ready for handles to be made.

Picture 5 are the remaining 9 blanks that are ready for bevels. They were heat treated before tropical storm Lala and were finally able to get tested for hardness and then surface ground. They ranged between 59.5-63 HRC. My goal is to have them all ground by the end of next weekend and hopefully handles started.

Engraving is done for Mat 1. I still need to run some black shoe polish over the engraved area and the remove the engraving film.

Engraving some leather mats before I start to put an edge on 3 of the knives I finished up this week. The calm before the storm. Hurricane Lala is on the way. Stay safe Hawaii Peeps!!!

I cut out a few more bases for some Pew Pew Stands. I am going to have a bunch for sale at the Gunshow in October. I will probably do a few with the rock grinds.
