Mahalo nui to everyone who supported our hālau this past weekend at Hula ʻOni E!
We shared original numbers created by my mom, myself, and dear friends — and our haumāna poured their hearts into every step. Their hard work, along with the unwavering aloha of their ʻohana, carried us to the stage with confidence and joy.
Our incredible musicians Kekoa Kaluhiwa, Chad Takatsugi, and K**a Hopkins lifted us with their voices and sounds, wrapping us in energy and helping us share our moʻolelo. Behind the scenes, our hula sisters and fellow dancers worked their magic with makeup, hair, and flowers — adding the finishing touches that helped our haumāna shine.
Together, we were honored to bring home a second place finish in the hālau division — a testament to the collective effort, not just of dancers and kumu, but of the whole community standing behind us.
We are humbled, proud, and deeply grateful. Mahalo a nui loa to all who walked this journey with us.
