Yes ππΌ off to work : 10K I have to keep reminding myself, when using a 1-minute sprint / 1-minute walk strategy. When Iβm training for an ultramarathon, pacing yourself is EVERYTHING! Starting too fast leads to burnoutβcontrolled pacing builds endurance and improves performance over the long run. Save your energy for the miles ahead. πππ½ββοΈ

π§π Stay ahead of your body: hydrate regularly before you feel thirsty and fuel consistently before you feel hungryβdonβt wait until youβre already behind.
By the time you feel extremely thirsty or hungry during a long run, your body may already be behind on hydration or fuel. Listen to your body and stay ahead of it!

But now that Iβm older and wiser, I understand that taking care of your body before, during, and after training is just as important as the miles themselves.
