A disappointing result for the Tigers last weekend as Pembroke posted a competitive 200-8 from their 40 overs, with several of their batters making valuable contributions.

With the ball, Steven Mills and Jack Mills were the pick of the bowlers, each claiming 2 wickets, while Keegan Codd and Gary James picked up a wicket apiece.

The Tigers also produced some sharp work in the field, with two run outs thanks to excellent fielding from Steven Mills and Lee Summons. Summons also took a diving catch to remove the Pembroke opener.

In reply, only Steven Mills was able to make a significant impact with the bat, producing a creditable 74. Gary James was the only other Tigers batter to reach double figures, contributing 12, as Pembroke's disciplined bowling attack kept the home side under pressure throughout the innings.

A tough result, but the boys will look to bounce back this afternoon when we welcome Haverfordwest to Gleblands πŸ…πŸ

Last Saturday, the Tigers welcomed Fishguard who won the toss and elected to bat on a hot afternoon down Gleblands.

Fishguard made a strong start, reaching 143-2 thanks to a century from Ashish Jayes and 54 from T Mahalingam. However, the innings quickly unravelled as Lee Summons tore through the middle order with a brilliant spell of 5-12, helping bowl Fishguard out for 179. Chris Fitzpatrick claimed the two opening wickets, while Steven Mills and Jack Mills picked up a wicket apiece.

In reply, Johnston lost a few early wickets, but some excellent partnerships steadied the innings. Steven Mills anchored the chase with an unbeaten 63*, Liam Boswell contributed a valuable 41, and Chris Fitzpatrick finished the job in style with a quickfire 38* that included six fours and two sixes, guiding the Tigers to victory and securing all 20 points.

A disciplined all-round performance from the lads in the heat, with everyone playing their part.

Tomorrow, we travel to Pembroke looking to continue our good run of form πŸ…πŸ
