Kentucky high school bass fishing state championship in the books. No trophies this year but lots of pictures, fish and memories. 2025 has been a great season. High school bass fishing is growing. Interested, bring a boat and an adult to captain the boat. We’ll see everyone in the fall.

Regional high school bass fishing in the books. Our all female team advanced to fish the state championship on Lake Cumberland May 8-10. Good luck ladies. Anyone that wants to sponsor or donate to support team travel please contact Coach Joe Banks.

🎣 High school bass fishing is underway! The team had a productive meeting while receiving free lures, rods and reels. Good luck this season. 🎣

🎣 The first meeting of the year will be Friday October 18 in the school library from 3:30-4:30. Please bring signed permission/consent forms to the meeting. We will have giveaways as usual. 🎣

Jenkins High School Bass Fishing signups Tuesday October 8 around 11:30 in the school lobby for grades 7-12. Please listen for the announcement over the intercom. We will have male, female, and coed divisions available.

🎣 The high school fishing season is a wrap. We improved so much this year. We qualified with an 8th place showing in region. We got to fish in the state championship. The knowledge and experience that we gained this year will help us progress in the years to come. Congratulations to Xavier Stamper and Preston Hammonds on a great season. Congratulations to our only senior graduate Ayden Fields. Thank you for all the support from our school (Damian Johnson Ashley Addington-Congleton) sponsors, and boat captains Bruce Stamper Michael Banks. We look forward to expanding the team to be bigger and better next year! Those that want to join the team or give support can contact coach Joe Banks. 🎣

🎣 Jenkins High School Bass Fishing Spring Classic 🎣

Thank you to all the anglers and those that donated to support our student athletes as they prepare to travel to the KHSAA state bass fishing championship! Carr Fork is on 🔥! All boats catching 20-40 bass per boat today.

Congratulations to Johannah Banks, Landan Webb, and Joe Banks for the win bringing in a 5 fish limit for 10 pounds 8.5 ounces including big fish for the tournament at 3 pounds 9.5 ounces. Congratulations to our second place team Bobby Webb and Ricky Hammonds who brought in a 5 fish limit for 9 pounds 15 ounces. Thank you to all who competed.

The Jenkins High School Bass Fishing team appreciates your support. If any individual or business wants to make a private donation to the team for food and travel expenses please contact Joe Banks before Wednesday morning.

🎣 FISHING CONTEST 🎣

Don’t forget, fishing contest 7am-3pm Saturday May 4 at Carr Fork Lake. All entry fees and donations will support the food and travel expenses for the Jenkins High School Bass Fishing Team as they travel to KY Lake to compete in the KHSAA State Championship May 9-11. Come out and support the kids. All donations are appreciated. There will be a table to register at the Carr Fork Marina ramp or contact Joe Banks with any questions or to preregister!
