Everyone,

Don't forget to meet us at the Sifford Mizzou tailgate this Saturday, September 20! We will have two parking spots in Lot G and a tent (just to the south, below the stadium). We will try to be closer to the stadium and by the Golden Girls building (in the sun). We will have food and beverages for everyone. Please stop by so we can celebrate Chris and his life! UPDATE: There will NOT be a golf tournament this year!!

Thanks to everyone’s generous support, the Chris Sifford Memorial Scholarship Fund has been fully endowed at both the University of Missouri in Columbia and Missouri State University in Springfield. To date, 45 scholarships have been awarded in Chris’ name at both universities to deserving students pursuing degrees in either the Journalism or Communications fields.

To celebrate this enormous accomplishment, we have decided to forego the annual golf tournament and opt for something different. This year we’d like everyone that can to attend a tailgate (and the game if possible) at the Mizzou v. Indiana game on September 20, 2014, in Columbia, Missouri. Chris has a lot of family that will be attending this game – and not only will there be Mizzou fans but there’ll be Indiana fans! We are confident that Chris would be so proud of the scholarships that have been funded in his name; but he would also be proud that we are continuing to celebrate his legacy, life and memory in another way. We all just need to get together and celebrate this wonderful person that brought us all together! There will be more details to follow in the coming months. We hope you all can join us for a day of fun and memories. Of course, we’ll pass a hat if anyone feels like making a donation to the scholarship fund or for the food/beverages for the tailgate or whatever.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported this very worthwhile cause! It was a great day for golf! Chris was certainly watching over us as he made sure we had some GREAT weather! Sorry I didn't get a chance to visit with everyone as I was delivering my middle son to school in Kansas City. Thanks again for your support! Kelli :)
