JC Fever went 4-0 this weekend at the USA State Tournament before the rain moved in and the remainder of the tournament was canceled.

The girls absolutely excelled this weekend as a team. It was a beautiful way to end the season and see all of the hard work, practices, and dedication pay off on the field. They played with confidence, energy, and heart, and it showed in every game.

We were especially grateful to have Lakota Oswald back with the team after being away from softball for the past few months due to illness. Seeing her back on the field with her teammates made the weekend even more special.

While we would have loved the opportunity to finish the tournament, we’re incredibly proud of what this team accomplished as a team and individually. Thank you to all of our players, families, and supporters for a great season.

Tough weekend for JC Fever. The outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, and the girls struggled to execute at the level they’re capable of. We’ll learn from it, get back to work at practice, and keep pushing to be better. This team has the talent — now it’s about putting it all together.

Shout out to our players that hit over .400 this weekend
Braxton Moorehead
Lily Rossi
Chloe Clay-Hopson
Adalyn Dixon

Shoutout to some defensive highlights from the weekend:

Our left side was a wall — 23 balls came at Isabella Lubbering and Averi Gilpin, and each had only 1 fielding error all weekend. That’s consistency and grit.

Adalyn Dixon came up with a huge defensive play, making a tough catch nearly at the wall in the outfield.

Tough weekend for our team. We didn’t perform the way we wanted to or capable of, but losses often teach us the most. We’ll take what we learned, put in the work at practice this week, and come back stronger this weekend.

While we struggled as a team there were a few individual highlights

Huge shout out to Jamesynn Cason with her first over the fence home run! 🔥 🥎

Isabella Luebbering, Jamesynn Cason, and Skylar Fick all batted .500+ 💪

🔥🥎 Congratulations to our Player of the Weekend — Harper Burnell! 🥎🔥

We knew our pitchers would need to log a lot of innings this weekend, and Harper answered the call in a big way. She threw 19 innings over 6 games, recording 16 strikeouts. She was a presence on the mound that her team needed!

She stayed hot at the plate, hitting .375 with 6 hits.

The player I met 2 years ago is almost unrecognizable compared to the loud, confident, team-first young woman who showed up this weekend.

Excited to see her continue to perform on and off the field.

Great Job Harp 👏

It was Championship Sunday for JC Fever in KC today!!

After going 2-1 in pool play, the girls came back focused and ready for bracket play on Sunday. First up, they got their revenge and took down the Sluggers after falling to them on Saturday!
Fever stayed hot all day, going 3-0 on Sunday and finishing the weekend on top as CHAMPIONS out of 19 teams.
So proud of this team’s grit, heart, and determination. They never quit and showed up for one another— what Fever softball is all about! 🥎🥎🥎
