Nettes with a Win 8-0 Win at home vs Gilmer!

Bottom Of The Lineup Carries Pickens Varsity Nettes Past Gilmer Varsity Ladycats

The bottom of the lineup helped Pickens Varsity Nettes capture an 8-0 victory over Gilmer Varsity Ladycats on Tuesday. Caitlyn Hudgins 2029, Bayleigh Gennaro 2027, and Brylee Johnson 2028 combined for five of the team's 10 hits in the victory. They scored one run and drove in two.

Kendra Stewart 2028 struck out 10 batters on the day. The starter also gave up four hits and zero runs over six innings while walking one.

Pickens Varsity Nettes jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after an error scored one run, and Johnson 2028 singled, scoring two runs.

Pickens Varsity Nettes added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Stewart 2028 flew out, and Caleigh Hoffard 2027 hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Jaylee Mcdaniel took the loss for Gilmer Varsity Ladycats. The starter went one inning, surrendering five runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking three.

Pickens Varsity Nettes accumulated 10 hits in the game. Pickens Varsity Nettes's Johnson 2028, the number seven hitter, led Pickens Varsity Nettes with three hits in three at bats. Stewart 2028 and Johnson 2028 each drove in two runs for Pickens Varsity Nettes. Gennaro 2027 collected two hits for Pickens Varsity Nettes in three at bats. Pickens Varsity Nettes turned one double play in the game.

Brenlee Daniel went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Gilmer Varsity Ladycats in hits.

Pickens Varsity Nettes will travel to North Hall for their next game on Thursday.
