Jacksonville High school Wrestling

Jacksonville wrestlers went to freestyle state for the first time, and left with a State Champion in 16U 175 lb JAMESON MITCHELL, and third place in masters division, our own Coach, ANDREW HEALY! A huge congrats to our other wrestlers Gabe Montez, Noah Madrid, and Mason Madrid for putting in the work in the off season as well!

Jacksonville made history this weekend with a total of five wrestlers going to state, which is three more than we have ever had before. We continued to make history by having three make it to the next day and placing! Layla placed second. Johnny and Peyton both placed fourth. Being a third year program we did not expect to make it this far this quickly, but we are so proud of the work the wrestlers put in this season. Now to take a small break before getting back to it 💪🏼

Not only did our team get fourth place in the 5A south regionals, which is the first time we have placed as a team, but we have four more going to state (the largest group we’ve ever had)! Congrats to Kriston (a first year wrestler), Johnny, Noah, and Peyton! We are proud of ALL of our wrestlers! Next stop is State!
