We also want to recognize Bridgette Wilson, who originally won the Media Specialist position by just a couple of votes. However, because both she and Adam Wilson could not serve on the board at the same time, Bridgette graciously chose to forfeit her seat so Adam could serve as a League Member. Her selflessness and commitment to our league are truly appreciated.

Our Weeball/6u commissioner spot had one person express interest. We will post as soon as we have more information about that position.

My name is Shawn Morehead, and I was nominated to be a PVYSL League Member. I have worked in law enforcement for 17 years. I have three kids who are very active in sports at Pleasant Valley. I’ve seen the potential the community has to have an excellent youth league, and I look forward to being part of that process.

Name: Adam Wilson
Position running for: League Member

My name is Adam Wilson, and I am a farmer in our community. Although Spring is a busy season with planting cotton, preparing hay fields, and ending calving season, my best memories growing up were balancing farm responsibilities with the baseball field.

Now, I get to experience this sport with our boys, alongside my wife, Bridgette. I have served on various boards and committees in our area, and plan to use that experience to be a small part of making PVYSL better for our children, our parents, our sponsors, and our community.

Name: Jackie Aderholt
Position running for: League Member

My name is Jackie Aderholt and I have 2 almost 3 children who love to be involved in team sports. My husband and I have participated in every sport our kids have played in. We have been head coaches, assistant coach, keeping playbooks/stats and being apart of other PV committees. It’s an honor to be able to help kids grow in a positive manner.

I work as a biologist at the CDP in Anniston but I also serve as a substitute for PV and the surrounding areas.

I am passionate about youth sports and committed to helping create a positive, organized, and enjoyable experience for players and families. I value teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship, and I look forward to supporting the league and contributing to its continued success as a member of the spring league committee.

Name: Hillary Anderson
Position: Concessions Committee

My name is Hillary Anderson, and I was nominated to be on the PVYSL Concessions Committee.

My husband, Austin, and I have three boys (Maddox, Major, and Macain) who love playing basketball, baseball, and football at PV. As a family, we are grateful for everything PVYSL provides for our children and the community, and I am excited about the opportunity to give back by serving on the Concessions Committee.

I have been the owner of my salon for the past nine years, where I have developed strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. I pride myself on being dependable, honest, organized, and maintaining a positive attitude in everything I do.

Our new PVYSL Board has done an outstanding job this past year. One area where I believe I can make a meaningful impact is in our concession stand operations. We are in great need of additional concession volunteers, and I would be happy to organize volunteer schedules, recruit workers, and help oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the concession stand to ensure it runs smoothly throughout the season.

I am honored to serve and help support our league and the families who make it such a special place.

My name is Ashlyn McCormick, and I am a sixth-grade teacher at PVES.
My husband, Jon, and I are parents of two children, Jonah & Madelyn. As a teacher at our local school, I care deeply about the children and families in our community. Being involved in their lives both inside and outside the classroom is something I truly value, and I would love the opportunity to serve our youth baseball league in another meaningful way.
I am dependable, hardworking, organized, and always willing to help where I'm needed. I understand that the concession stand is an important part of supporting our league, and I would be committed to helping it run smoothly and successfully.

Nominee: Jessica Smith
Position running for: Media Specialist

My name is Jessica Smith, and I have spent my career working to connect people, tell stories, and strengthen the communities we call home. Through my work with United Way of East Central Alabama, I focus on community engagement, communications, and marketing, helping highlight the people, programs, and partnerships that make a difference in the lives of others.

As an aunt, I am especially passionate about supporting my nieces and nephews and cheering them on in all of their activities and accomplishments. My niece, Samantha Douthit, plays softball at PVRSI, which has given me an even greater appreciation for the opportunities, relationships, and memories that youth sports create for children and families.

I believe youth sports are about so much more than just a game. Sports help children build confidence, learn teamwork, develop friendships, and create memories that stay with them long after the season ends. They also bring families and communities together, and I believe the people who volunteer their time to invest in our youth play an incredibly important role.

With a degree in Public Relations and a background in marketing and storytelling, I genuinely enjoy finding ways to celebrate people and bring attention to the moments that make a community special. I would love the opportunity to use those skills to highlight the athletes, coaches, families, volunteers, and accomplishments that make the Pleasant Valley Youth Spring League such a meaningful part of our community.
