🏫♟️ BUILDING CHESS COMIC ACADEMY — ONE PIECE AT A TIME!

MOTHER FATHER!! 😂🔨

The physical location of Chess Comic Academy is officially coming together!

For the past several days, we've been surrounded by boxes, furniture, tools, tables, chairs, equipment and about a million pieces that somehow have to become an academy. 😂

But THIS is the fun part.

Every table we assemble and every piece we put into place gets us one step closer to creating the environment we've been imagining:

♟️ A place where kids can learn chess
🧠 Develop focus and problem-solving skills
🏆 Train and compete
🤝 Make new friends
❤️ And most importantly, enjoy the game!

These pictures definitely aren't the glamorous finished-product photos yet...

They're the BEFORE photos. 😎

And we're going to enjoy looking back at them when everything is finally finished.

Chess Comic Academy is no longer just something we're planning.

We're physically building it. ❤️♟️

♟️🔥 I SACRIFICED A ROOK FOR A KNIGHT... ON PURPOSE!

MOTHER FATHER!!

Most players are taught that a rook is worth more than a knight.

So why would I willingly give up the exchange?

Because sometimes position is worth more than material.

In this Sicilian Kan game, I sacrificed my rook for a knight to gain something much more valuable:

♟️ Complete control of the center.
🔥 Powerful piece activity.
🚀 A dangerous queenside attack.

The material count favored my opponent...

But the position favored me.

This game is a great example of how strategic thinking can outweigh simple point counting.

Would you have made the exchange sacrifice, or would you have kept the rook?

♟️💥 THE ...d5 BREAKTHROUGH THAT EVERY KING'S INDIAN PLAYER SHOULD KNOW!

One of the biggest lessons in the King's Indian Defense isn't a tactical trick…

It's knowing when to strike with ...d5!

In today's game against the Sämisch Variation, White built a big center and looked comfortable.

Instead of forcing the action too early, I focused on improving my position and patiently preparing the right moment.

Then...

💥 ...d5!

That single pawn break completely changed the game and gave me the initiative.

This video isn't just about one victory—it's about understanding one of the most important strategic ideas in the King's Indian.

🦎♟️😂 MY FAKE IMMORTAL GAME WITH THE SICILIAN CHAMELEON!

MOTHER FATHER!!

One of my subscribers challenged me to keep playing my legacy opening, the Sicilian Chameleon, until I finally create a true immortal game.

During this game, we honestly thought the mission had been accomplished.

The attack looked powerful.

The combination looked brilliant.

The finish looked worthy of an immortal game.

We were already celebrating…

Then I analyzed it afterward. 😂

According to the engine…

FAKE IMMORTAL!!

Fortunately, I still won the game, so the emotional damage was manageable. XD

In this 6–8 minute video, I break down the opening, the attack, the tactical sequence, and the moment where our supposed immortal game lost its immortality.

Was it really fake…

Or should we still give it honorary immortal status? 😂

Today's game featured an unusual Sicilian line against another National Master.

There were no wild queen sacrifices.

No forced mate in five.

Instead, I spotted one tactical opportunity that won...

Just a pawn.

To many players, that might not seem like much.

But in high-level chess, a clean extra pawn is often enough—if you know how to convert it properly.

From that moment on, the game became a lesson in patience, precision, and technique.

Sometimes the most satisfying victories aren't the flashy ones...

They're the games where you slowly squeeze every ounce of value from a tiny advantage.

Would you rather win with a brilliant queen sacrifice...

Or a perfectly converted extra pawn?

♟️🔥 I BEAT A 2600 BLITZ PLAYER WITH THE SICILIAN KAN!

MOTHER FATHER!!

This time, I was matched against an extremely strong opponent rated over 2600 in blitz.

Against 1.e4, I decided to trust one of my reliable weapons:

The Sicilian Kan!

The Kan is flexible, patient, and sometimes deceptive.

It may appear quiet during the opening—but Black is preparing to challenge the center and launch counterplay at exactly the right moment.

Against a 2600-rated opponent, there is very little room for error. One slow move, one tactical oversight, or one missed opportunity can immediately decide the game.

I stayed patient, developed my pieces, waited for my opportunity, and eventually turned the position in my favor.

The result?

2600 BLITZ PLAYER DEFEATED! 🔥

♟️🔥 WESLEY SO INSPIRED THIS ATTACK... MY OPPONENT RESIGNED IN ONLY 17 MOVES!

MOTHER FATHER!!

I was playing White against the Philidor Defense, and instead of following my usual plans, I tried an attacking idea I remembered from one of Wesley So's games.

From the opening, I kept applying pressure.

No time to breathe.

No time to counterattack.

Just relentless initiative!

The attack kept getting stronger until my opponent finally resigned on move 17! 😱

This game is a great reminder that studying elite players isn't about memorizing every move—it's about learning ideas you can actually use in your own games.

Would you have defended the position—or resigned too? 😅
