Had a torn ACL going into ADCC Youth worlds. I competed because I just didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to compete at my last year as a youth this really stings a bit. Now I have to have surgery . I will be out a few months , Comeback now loading……..“Of course fear does not automatically lead to courage.
Injury does not necessarily lead to insight. Hardship will not automatically make us better.
Pain can break us or make us wiser. Suffering can destroy us or make us stronger. Fear can cripple us, or it can make us more courageous. It is resilience that makes the difference.”

🏆 2026 SAM MORRIS INVITATIONAL CHAMPION 🏆

There were 16 competitors.

Different gyms. Different styles. Different stories.

Only one man walked out with the belt.

Marcus Bouie put together one of the most dominant performances of the day, submitting all four opponents on his way to claiming the 2026 Sam Morris Invitational Championship and the $1,600 grand prize.

No controversy.
Just four finishes against a stacked field.

That’s what championships look like.

Congratulations to Marcus on an incredible performance and on becoming the first name etched into the history of the Sam Morris Invitational.
