Customer experience and the level of service we provide have always been a huge priority for me.

Something I’ve learned is that the guiding business isn’t nearly as much about hunting as people think it is. At the end of the day, it’s a hospitality business.

You can’t control the weather. You can’t control migration. You can’t always control what the birds or animals decide to do that day. But you CAN control how you treat people, how prepared you are, how hard you work for them, and the experience they have while they’re with you.

The outfitters and guides who understand that will always flourish. The ones who don’t will always struggle with one-and-done clients.

Our goal at Horse Swamp has never been to just sell somebody a hunt. We want people to leave already thinking about when they’re coming back.
