Over the past few days, we've introduced you to the women helping lead the OCC Senior Showcase. Their stories may be different, but they all share one common mission.

Together, Sharice Hatchell, Kesha Gray, and Sondra Booher bring decades of experience in youth sports, leadership, business, mentorship, and community service. Countless hours have been spent behind the scenes organizing programs, supporting families, building relationships, and creating opportunities for young athletes.

The OCC Senior Showcase isn't just about playing one final football game.

It's about making sure Eastern North Carolina athletes have the same opportunities as any student-athlete in America. Every phone call, every meeting, every sponsorship, every late night, and every decision is made with one goal in mind: helping our seniors gain exposure, connect with college coaches, and pursue higher education through the game they love.

This showcase was built on the belief that talent exists everywhere,even if opportunity doesn't.

These women are working every day to help change that.

The future of Eastern North Carolina football is bright, and this is only the beginning. 🏈

🚨 OCC Senior Showcase Update 🚨

Parents and players, this is a friendly reminder that the 2026 OCC Senior Showcase nomination forms have been emailed to all head football coaches.

Please remind your head coach to check their school email and submit their nominations before the deadline.

We are still looking for the school email addresses for the following head coaches:
🏈 Havelock High School
🏈 West Craven High School

If you know either coach or can help us get their school email address, please send us a message.

Meet OCC Director of Sponsorship & Community Relations: Sondra Booher

Sondra Booher is a proud wife, mother of two, business owner, and community leader whose passion for serving others has made a lasting impact throughout Eastern North Carolina.

A proud graduate of White Oak High School, Sondra developed a love for sports, teamwork, and the values of dedication and perseverance that continue to shape her life today. She believes athletics teach discipline, resilience, and the importance of supporting others—lessons that have guided both her personal and professional journey.

Above all, Sondra considers her family to be her greatest accomplishment. As a devoted wife and mother of two, she understands the importance of unconditional love, patience, sacrifice, and celebrating life's everyday moments. Whether cheering from the sidelines, supporting her children, or spending quality time with loved ones, her family remains at the center of everything she does.

As a successful restaurant owner, Sondra has turned her passion for serving others into a career. Through her business, she has built lasting relationships within the community while creating a welcoming place where friends and families can gather. Her entrepreneurial journey has reinforced the values of hard work, determination, and perseverance through every challenge.

As the Director of Sponsorship & Community Relations for the OCC Senior Showcase, Sondra is dedicated to building strong partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to help create meaningful opportunities for student-athletes. Meet OCC Director of Operations: Kesha Gray

Kesha Gray is a proud wife, mother of two boys, and a dedicated advocate for youth development. Her passion for serving young people has been evident throughout her career and years of involvement in youth football.

A graduate of White Oak High School, Kesha continued her education at East Carolina University and Ashford University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Child Development and Family Relations. She currently serves as a Care Manager, working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and has dedicated more than 10 years to helping individuals and families receive the support and resources they need.

Kesha's football journey began more than 12 years ago with the Craven Jaguars. Although she knew very little about the game when she started, she quickly learned every aspect of running a successful youth football organization—from day-to-day operations to behind-the-scenes logistics. Throughout the years, she has served in several leadership roles, including Team Mom, Secretary, and Treasurer. While she has helped build a successful football program, her greatest accomplishment has been watching the young athletes she mentored grow from 4-year-olds into respectful, successful young men. Through every challenge, they knew they could always count on "Mrs. Shay" for encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support.

Kesha became involved with the OCC Senior Showcase through Founder Sharice Hatchell after working alongside her during the past two OTS 7-on-7 seasons. As the Director of Operations, she is committed to creating opportunities for high school seniors to showcase their talents in front of college coaches and pursue higher education through athletics. Her mission has always remained the same, to be a positive influence in the lives of young people and help them achieve success both on and off the field.

Meet OCC Founder &Head Director: Sharice Hatchell

Sharice Hatchell is a proud wife, mother of four, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, entrepreneur, and the founder of OTS 7-on-7 and the OCC Senior Showcase.

A graduate of Highland Springs High School in Richmond, Virginia, Sharice answered the call to serve by joining the United States Marine Corps, where she proudly served for 10 years. Today, she continues serving her community as a successful real estate agent in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Her football journey began as a dedicated team mom for the Jacksonville Storm. When her youngest son reached the eighth grade, Sharice stepped into a leadership role as the head coach of the Jacksonville Cardinals. In her only season as head coach, she led the Cardinals to an impressive 9-1 record and won the Film to Field City League Championship in Wilmington, NC, demonstrating the leadership, discipline, and passion that have become her trademarks.

Following that championship season, Sharice founded OTS 7-on-7 with a vision of providing athletes throughout Eastern North Carolina with elite competition, development, and college exposure. That same summer, she launched the OTS 7-on-7 Travel Team, which has now completed two successful seasons. The program has already helped numerous student-athletes earn college scholarship offers and continues to create opportunities for young players to compete at the next level.

Today, Sharice is the Founder and Head Director of the OCC Senior Showcase, where she continues her mission of providing high school seniors with one final opportunity to showcase their talents in front of college coaches while opening doors to higher education through football. Her commitment to serving others, both on and off the field, continues to leave a lasting impact on athletes, families, and communities across Eastern North Carolina.

🚨 NCHSAA Dead Period is This Week! 🚨

While coaches are observing the NCHSAA Dead Period, the OCC Senior Showcase is getting ready for one of the biggest events of the year!

📧 This week, player nomination forms will be sent to every high school football coach's school email across Onslow, Carteret, and Craven Counties.

📣 Players, parents, and fans: Help us spread the word! Remind your head coach to check their school email and submit nominations for the seniors who deserve to be recognized.

⏰ Coach nomination deadline: August 1, 2026

The inaugural OCC Senior Showcase will feature the area's top senior football players competing in a full-pad all-star game on:
