2000 was my 1st MLB Spring Training Camp...Perry was our INF Instructor and taught me more from Positioning in the Field RHH vs LHH, Glove Prep Work, Double Plays & the 6 'F's of Fielding

every year I go back to some of his teaching to help my 14u & 16u players and prepare them for HS baseball

Understanding that like Golf.....NOT EVERY SHOT REQUIRES THE DRIVER!!!!! Not every AB requires:

-Exit Velo....not one coach cares with a runner at 3rd & INF BACK how weak the Groundball is to the SS or 2b.....I want the RBI. BUT if you hit a WEAK LAUNCH ANGLED POP UP.....you Benched!

-Launch angle- Line Drive is a Launch angle
-Pull Side in the Air......STOP use the whole FIELD!
or a even a Base Hit.....

-The Driver does come out?....but when do you need to use it?
