As we close the chapter on the 2025-2026 season, we want to recognize two teams that represented the Mississippi Orioles with tremendous pride, heart, and determination. Both finished up their World Series this past weekend.

🟠⚫ 12U Black and 12U White showed incredible growth from the Fall to the Spring. The development these young men displayed both on and off the field was nothing short of remarkable.

🏆 The 12U Black team captured multiple championships throughout the year and earned a promotion to the AAA level, proving that hard work, commitment, and belief in the process pays off. A special thank you to Coach Marcus Ragan, Coach Cam Upton and Coach Josh Taylor for their leadership, guidance, and dedication to these young men.

🏆 The 12U White team also brought home multiple championships and competed with relentless effort every single weekend. Their fight, resilience, and growth were evident all season long. Thank you to Coach Austin Upton for the foundation he helped build and everything he poured into this team. Following Coach Upton’s accident, Coach Brice stepped in to lead the group, alongside Coach Willie Johnson, and together they continued pushing these boys to grow and compete at a high level.

To every player and family—thank you for trusting the process, embracing the challenges, and representing the Orioles way.

The future is bright, and we’re just getting started.

🚨 TRYOUT UPDATE 🚨

Coaches will begin reaching out today to players and families who attended our first tryout session for the 7U-10U age groups.

Please understand that this does NOT mean our rosters are fully set. We are simply beginning to offer spots to players that coaches feel are a good fit for our program and team needs.

We still have additional evaluations, conversations, and decisions to make before final rosters are finalized. If you have not been contacted yet, do not be discouraged. There are still opportunities available, and every player is being carefully considered.

We want to thank everyone who came out and competed at tryouts. The talent, effort, and enthusiasm were outstanding, and we appreciate the trust you are placing in the Mississippi Orioles.

Bittersweet.

This past weekend marked the end of the Spring season for our 10U, 11U Orange, and 11U Black teams. While the season may be over, the impact these boys made won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

When we started this journey, there were questions, challenges, growing pains, and lessons that had to be learned. But through it all, these young men showed up, competed, and proved they belonged. They didn’t back down from anyone. They fought, they battled, and they left their mark on every field they stepped onto.

To our players, thank you for trusting the process. The wins were great, but the growth, resilience, and character you displayed mean even more. You represented the Mississippi Orioles with pride and showed what it means to compete the right way.

A special thank you to Coach JD Mays for leading our 10U team this season. Your commitment, patience, and dedication helped lay a foundation that will continue to grow for years to come.

And thank you to Coach Brice for leading both the 11U Orange and 11U Black teams. The countless hours, sacrifices, lessons, and belief poured into these players did not go unnoticed. The growth seen across both rosters is a direct reflection of your investment in these young men.

To every parent, family member, and supporter—thank you. The miles traveled, weekends spent at the ballpark, and unwavering support made all of this possible.

The season may have ended, but the work isn’t finished. The foundation has been laid. The bricks have been stacked. Now it’s time to keep building.

The future is bright for this flock.
