If this is allowed the already fractured integrity of the game will be completely destroyed!!!!
After being initially denied by the NCAA Brendan Sorsby has been granted a temporary injunction by a Texas Judge and appears to be eligible to play football for Texas Tech in 2026.
Sorsby reportedly made over $90K in sports bets including over 40 bets on the Indiana Hoosiers during his playing days with the team. Although it’s reported that he never bet on a game he played in or attempted to manipulate the outcome of, his gambling goes all the way back to his high school days. According to additional reports, Sorsby has admitted he is seeking help for his addiction.
Several schools and athletic departments are contemplating not to allow games with Texas Tech, with some going as far to suggest no athletic competition with Tech in any sport.
With so many issues facing the integrity of college sports, how can this be allowed?
