Thanks to our good friend, Punxsutawney Phil, we can now start looking forward to some nicer weather for baseball to start up!! With Major League Baseball set to return for Spring training in the next few weeks, it is hard to not be excited for the start of our season here in Ithaca. Wishing for warm weather soon!!

With the long-awaited announcement of the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2026, it has finally arrived! With names like Carlos Beltran, David Wright, Alex Rodriguez, Matt Kemp, and many more, it will be interesting to see who joins Jeff Kent and will have their name enshrined in the Hall for the rest of time! Announcement to be made at 6 pm ET!!

With the calendar turning to January, we are now in crunch time for MLB management teams to secure the best team they can for the year. With big-name players still on the market, it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Jeff Kent is officially Cooperstown-bound. 🏆
The power-hitting second baseman — the all-time HR leader at his position — earned selection from the Contemporary Baseball Era ballot.

But the announcement didn’t come without controversy.
Big names like Don Mattingly, Carlos Delgado, and Barry Bonds were left off once again, leaving many fans feeling… less than satisfied.

Arizona Fall League Facts 🍂⚾️

• Founded in 1992, the AFL was created by MLB to give top prospects extra development time in a competitive, controlled environment.

• Six teams—made up of players from all 30 MLB organizations—compete each fall.

• Roughly 60% of AFL players reach the Majors, with some notable names being Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Nolan Arenado, and Bryce Harper.

• Games are played in spring-training ballparks around the Phoenix area, giving fans an up-close look at the next wave of MLB stars.

• The annual Fall Stars Game highlights the league’s best performers each season.
