Yall rock! Congratulations ladies🔥❤️
What a weekend & what a season 🙌
This season we had a slogan of “one season, one reason”…to COMPETE! This summer personified just that, these girls are gritty, crafty & scrappy! Most importantly they play with heart, and they play for each other! There’s no “me” mentality with this group…it’s a “pass the bat” “next in line” “team over me” approach! That is what got these girls the great summer season record of 21-13-1 playing in nothing but top sanctioning events against some true competition!
We finished strong, placing 2nd in the SCS tourney down in Portland! The pitchers were DEALING all weekend long, and timely hits with our usual shut down defense (.947 team FP for the season!) got us there! So proud!
Avery Miller & Alexis Jackson were awarded team MVPs as voted by their fellow teammates 🙌 way to girls!!!
Both girls contributed all weekend long!
The Coaches wanted to add a “Standout Player” for this final tourney as well (although, again, everyone crushed it)- Abby Scott 👏 had an all around phenomenal weekend! Leading the team in batting average .500, 2nd in RBI while also playing perfect defense on the field! She also pitched remarkably well, leading the team in innings pitched with 15.1 and only allowing 4 runs…way to go kid!
Next season will look different, Coach Steven and Avery Miller have decided to move on as Avery is committing full time to golf ⛳️! We will miss them dearly, but know Avery will go do big things on the course!
Now on to fall ball, where we look to build off of our successful summer season! It’ll be here before ya know it 😃😅🥎
