High Voltage BMX is proud to introduce the Olson family — a family brought together by their love of BMX, family time, and supporting one another every step of the way.
At the heart of this family are 𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗢𝗟𝗦𝗢𝗡. Kate can always be found supporting from the sidelines, cheering on her family and helping keep everything running smoothly, Kate is an amazing mom and supporter.
Alongside her is Eddie — Dad, racer, mentor, and lifelong BMX enthusiast. A 37–40 Expert rider himself with a deep history in the sport, Eddie’s passion for BMX helped inspire the entire family to get involved and return to racing after stepping away for nearly a decade. Eddie’s BMX journey spans decades. As a former professional rider and current Expert racer, he brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion to the track. Whether he’s lining up at the gate himself or helping the next generation of riders improve, Eddie leads by example and shows what dedication to the sport looks like.
BMX has quickly become a major part of the Olson family’s life once again. When they’re not at the track, you’ll find them spending time with their three dogs, going to concerts, and enjoying bike rides together as a family.
⚡️ 𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗭𝗬 𝗢𝗟𝗦𝗢𝗡 — Age 10 | Novice
Maizy got into BMX because she thought it looked like a really cool sport, but her biggest inspiration has always been her dad. Seeing Eddie’s history in BMX, including his time as a professional rider and his continued passion for racing today, motivated her to give the sport a try herself.
Since getting started, Maizy has embraced everything BMX has to offer. She loves being at the track, learning new skills, and challenging herself every race. Her positive attitude and excitement for the sport make her a joy to be around, and she’s already building a strong foundation for a bright future in BMX! She is fun to have around the pits and making good friends with everyone.
