Post 228 and White Oak Rod & Gun Club were recipients of a Range Improvement Grant from https://www.facebook.com/MidwayUSAFoundation. Thank you to the Foundation! Phase 1 was completed with the installation of the indoor range exhaust ventilation. Next comes the repairs to the backstop, new divider wall to separate the range from the kitchen, ceiling baffles /window protection and finally the installation of new acoustic board on the walls.

We’re excited to share some great news for our Junior Rifle Team!

Post 228 has found a new home range at White Oak Rod & Gun Club (WORGC), and we couldn’t be more grateful. A huge thank you to WORGC for warmly welcoming us.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to the MidwayUSA Foundation for awarding us a range improvement grant. These funds will be used to renovate and upgrade WORGC’s indoor range. This project will enable our Junior Rifle Team to continue training and grow for years to come, while also providing WORGC the opportunity to expand their already rich set of shooting events and programs.

We’re incredibly thankful for both organizations stepping up and believing in our young shooters. This is a win for everyone!

It’s with mixed emotions that we share our junior team will no longer be calling Irwin Sportsmen’s our home range after several decades.

We want to sincerely thank Irwin Sportsmen's Association for hosting us all this time and for the memories we’ve made there. We truly appreciate everything they’ve done for our young shooters.

We’re currently focused on finding a new home range and will keep everyone updated as we work through this transition.
