Look at this joy! 🎉 I was recently a speaker at the IM4US Conference — a virtual event — presenting Laughter Yoga, and my session was accepted as part of their CEU program.

Even through a screen, the energy was real. The virtual room was filled with clinicians, integrative and functional medicine practitioners, and healers of all kinds — and I watched gallery view turn into a wall of people going from serious and focused to fully cracking up in the span of a few minutes. People who spend their days caring for others got to just... laugh, together, from wherever they were.

That's the whole point of this work. Laughter isn't just fun (though it absolutely is) — it's medicine, and it turns out it travels just fine over a video call. It resets the nervous system, lowers stress, and reminds us why we do this work in the first place.

Thank you to IM4US for having me and for championing whole-person approaches to care, even in a virtual format. 💛

Know a clinic, conference, or wellness team that could use this kind of energy — in person or online? I'd love to bring Laughter Yoga (or holistic nutrition / Reiki) to your group — message me to book!

Less than 4 weeks to go, and I keep pausing to just sit with this feeling.

I'm honored and humbled to be speaking at the 16th Annual IM4US Virtual Conference this August. I'll be presenting on Laughter Yoga: An Integrative Mind–Body Intervention for Mental, Emotional, and Physiological Resilience, and joining a panel of co-presenters on Underrepresentation of People with Disabilities in Integrative Health Research and Practice: Implications for Health Equity in an Underserved Population.

Two topics that mean a great deal to me — one about the healing power of joy and breath, the other about making sure integrative health truly includes everyone it claims to serve.

Grateful for the path that led me here, and for this community that keeps me grounded.

Feeling incredibly grateful and inspired. 💙

I had the honor of being invited to facilitate a Laughter Yoga session at the Kaiser Permanente Nurses & Leadership Wellbeing Retreat.

This beautiful retreat, presented through the Caritas Program by Caring Academy, brought together chief nurses and healthcare leaders for a day dedicated to self-care, resilience, compassion, and wellbeing.

A heartfelt thank you to Lina and Veronica of the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Research team, Caring Academy, and the Caritas Program for creating such a meaningful experience and for recognizing the importance of caring for those who care for others.

During our session, we explored the power of Laughter Yoga as a simple yet effective practice for reducing stress, building resilience, boosting energy, and creating connection. It was truly inspiring to see leaders come together to laugh, recharge, and experience moments of joy and lightness amidst the demands of their important work.

Healthcare professionals give so much of themselves every day. Opportunities like this remind us that self-care is not a luxury—it is essential.

I left feeling energized, hopeful, and grateful for the opportunity to share the healing power of laughter with such dedicated leaders.

Together, let's continue creating healthier, happier, and more resilient workplaces—one laugh at a time. 😊
