Sundays are more exciting in the gold bracket! 🌟 The 9U team went 2-0 landing them the #1 seed for the first time! They play at 10:45am and need the win to keep the battle going. The 11U team went 0-1-1 landing them the #4 seed. They’ll play at 10:15am and need the win to play in the championship game at 12pm. Double weekend for the ! The 9U team is playing in the Halloween Havoc at Midland Sports Complex, while the 11U is playing in the Top Banana Under Armour Championship at the Greenwood Recreation Complex! It’s going to be a chilly weekend but some great baseball. We hope to see you there!

9U Weekend Recap: There were some tears, there was some battling, and there was some bling for the first time this fall. Saturday pool play was tough as the boys took on two very strong teams and went 0-2 placing them as the last ( #13) seed heading into Sunday. The team came back on Sunday at 9am and won their first game AND second game before heading to the silver bracket championship. They led 1-0 until the bottom of the 5th where they let up 2 runs and sadly lost 1-2. They battled from the very bottom to runner-up in the silver bracket. The emotion, grit and growth displayed on Sunday left us all excited for our final fall tournament this coming weekend.

Another long day of baseball! The boys took on the Carolina Red Wings again this morning. They were down by 6 heading into the bottom of the 3rd and rallied to put 5 runs on the board. They got a 6th run in the bottom of the 5th and went into TWO extra innings before finally scoring the winning run! Player of the Game was awarded to #1 Luke for his 4 innings at pitcher and 11 strikeouts!

The first win put us in the semifinal game immediately following our rally and two extra innings. We were matched against a strong Scouts team who got the bye to start their day. We fell short of the championship game with a score of 4-10 Scouts.

The Stripers finished 2-2 for the weekend but most importantly they continue to learn and grow as a team!

Whew! Long day at the ball field thanks to that rain y’all weren’t able to wish away. 🤪 Game 1 wrapped a little early thanks to the downpour but we got 5 innings played and won 6-1. We then had a 4 hour wait for our second game and sadly didn’t get the win. It was a good day of learning and growing as a team. Our newbie from Virginia, #15 Kameron, took the mound for the first time; he battled 4 innings, got 7 strikeouts and a pin from the umpire! We take the field again tomorrow at 10:45am!

Join our 9U team at Pine Grove Sports Complex as they play in the 2025 Super Regional Warm-Up Weekend! Although the Midlands needs the rain, we need everyone to do their dance so it’s all done by Saturday morning as the boys take the field at 9am and again at 12:30pm!
