Congratulations to Little Hawks 10U Red on bringing home the title at the Indoor Baseball Bash on March 29, 2026! ⚾🔥

After a day full of great competition, the Little Hawks battled their way to the championship game and defeated the Quad City Knights to claim the tournament victory. The hard work, teamwork, and determination this group shows every time they take the field truly paid off!

From clutch hits to big defensive plays and incredible team energy, these players represented Iowa City baseball the right way — together. 💪❤️

We couldn’t be more proud of this group of athletes, coaches, and families who make Little Hawks baseball special.

****Update 2.11.2026****
We've made the hard decision to cancel this second team. Tryouts next year will be late July early August. Hope everyone has a good season.

We're looking for a few more players for a second 13U team for the 2026 season. Our Coach is ready to start the indoor practice schedule ASAP to prepare players for the 2026 outdoor season.

Practices:
January through Spring Break includes 1-2 indoor hitting practices per week, plus a weekly indoor team practice at the HTRC on Sunday mornings through early March.
Post Spring break moves to two weekly outdoor practices at Mercer Park and 1-2 weekly indoor hitting practices. The season runs from January through the beginning of July.

Tournaments and Scrimmages
Plan to play 2-4 tournaments and scrimmage other local teams to get players the most reps possible

Can't wait for our 2 day camp with Coach Mongero to start this Saturday. Our coaches, players , and parents got some much out of last year we brought Coach back for another, longer, experience. Spots are still available at both ages groups and softball players are invited too. Registration link in comments.

With multiple Coach of the Year titles under his belt, Mongero's name has become synonymous with authentic player development, an authority he believes is built on his determination to prove what works.

We are excited to bring back Coach Trent Mongero to Iowa City for his Elite Infield Camp on Saturday & Sunday, December 13th & 14th. This is open for both baseball and softball players ages 9U through High School from ANY program.

Coach Mongero is a highly respected educator, clinician, coach, and player. He was named National High School Baseball Coach of the Year and published author of "Winning Baseball". His high-level camps are considered the best in the country. Learn more about Coach Mongero on his website or his Instagram page.

Camp Focus: Players will be introduced to key skills and drills that challenge hand-eye coordination, footwork, hand speed, balance, and efficiency; all while developing the actions and tools that recruiters and professional scouts seek and desire. Everything will be taught and implemented to the highest level. This is called the “game speed, game challenge” principle. This camp is for both baseball and softball players.

Ages: 9U-12U & 13U-HS (baseball & softball)
Dates: Saturday & Sunday, Sun, December 13th & 14th
Times: Same schedule both days.
