🥎 That is a wrap on a memorable season for Ionia Softball!

A huge Bulldog shoutout to the amazing people who made this season possible:

Fourth-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars Past Ionia Varsity Bulldogs

Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars scored eight runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Ionia Varsity Bulldogs 15-3 on Friday at Lansing Catholic High School.

Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after an error scored one run, and a single, scoring two runs.

Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when an error scored one run, a single scored two runs, and another single scored one run.

Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars scored eight runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Bowen took the loss for Ionia Varsity Bulldogs. The pitcher went four innings, allowing 15 runs on 12 hits, striking out three and walking two.

Bowen provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Ionia Varsity Bulldogs with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Kaya Clark and Bowen each collected one hit for Ionia Varsity Bulldogs. Ionia Varsity Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.

Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars defeated Ionia Varsity Bulldogs 18-1 on Friday at Lansing Catholic High School thanks in part to 17 runs in the second inning.

Lansing Catholic Varsity Cougars got on the board in the top of the second inning with a double scoring two runs.

Adah Drown took the loss for Ionia Varsity Bulldogs. The hurler went one and one-third innings, surrendering nine runs on eight hits, striking out none and walking one.

Isabella Gallagher, Krisalynn Cooper, Ginger Helman, Kaya Clark, Ava Bowen, and Allyson Schmid each collected one hit for Ionia Varsity Bulldogs. Bowen went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
