Where to begin... The North American Supermoto Shootout was a success to say the least!

Friday: went out and got the feel for the track, I was feeling way more comfortable this year on this track

Saturday: qualifying sessions went smoothly and I put down some decently quick times setting myself on pole to have a great starting grid for the heat race, I managed a sweet holeshot and led all the laps to the checkered inspiring the confidence leading into race 1!
Race 1 I executed another good start and like clock work I put the hammer down to the finish setting myself up for a sweet Sunday

Sunday we did a quick warm up, I battled with some line choices but worked those out before the race. Race 2 was for the championship, I set myself up for a great shot to have a repeat. We gridded up and took off, I put the hammer down to get a comfortable gap and take it home for the championship shootout race!

I'm super stoked to have taken home the 4th annual pro lites title for the North American Supermoto shootout

I would like to thank Jay and his crew for putting on these awesome events, if you weren't there you missed out on some awesome racing, make sure you qualify for next year!

Saturday Recap:

Jumped into qualifying setting the pace landing myself on pole (qualifying 1st) setting myself up for a great starting position for the heat

Jumping to the heat race we managed to execute a great start leading every lap to the checkered solidifying our qualifying results

Race 1 we got to the grid lined up and pulled the holeshot, managed to pull a solid gap and ran it in for the win

Race Recap: Friday open practice I got my flow down and was feeling pretty good on my RMZ 250.

Saturday we got the final tweaks of the day out of the way in morning practice and put down a lap time just fast enough to be on pole #1 for my qualifying grid position for race one later that morning. I started off race 1 with a smooth charging start to the front leading every lap from start to finish setting up my odds for sweeping the weekend to be in my favor🔥

Sunday we got comfortable on the bike again without the sprinkles like we got for qualifying on Saturday for a warm up session. We grid up in the same qualifying position from the day before setting me up for another awesome start on the whole shot zuki, (as butters would say " #1 bike"). I pulled another great start and had about a 7 second lead on lap 5 when I got a little excited and tried to push a little more in a corner than previously and it bit me in the butt with a low side (my circuit exhaust taking most of the impact. 😥 Hook me up with a fresh for the next round guys!) (we live and learn- the hard way "haha") I quickly hopped back up keeping the RMZ running and clicked down a couple gears taking off like a rocket ship right as 2nd place was passing me, knowing I would have to make quick work to get it done, I put the hammer down in the dirt and absolutely sent one of the doubles to flat to make the pass back as to not lose any time edging a decent gap back by the end of race 2 taking home the win overall!🏁💪🏻🏆

Started out today with setting the fastest qualifying time putting myself on pole for race 1, getting a great start and leading every lap from green flag to checkered, time to do it again tomorrow 🔥🔥🏁🏆
