A big congratulations to Bruce on becoming a marathon swimmer this morning!! 🏊‍♂️ 🎉

Bruce successfully completed the Around Coronado Swim today which is 11.5 miles around - and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He finished with sprinting onto the beach to a full crowd of supportive friends. 🥹

Well done Bruce and to his kayakers/observers Dan and Summer from !

What a huge accomplishment. 👏 you just did that!!

Congratulations to Victoria on her first international distance triathlon this weekend!

She’s been grinding hard for her first 70.3 in July, and has been a very good student. Balancing a busy career with travel with life and training, she gets it done. Her first triathlon before she started with me, she had a panic attack in the swim and was scared to get back in. Fast forward ⏩ to this! A very respectable swim and solid race even coming back from ITB syndrome! The future is bright Tori - can’t wait for that first 70.3 feeling! 🏅 well done!

A giant Medal Monday congratulations to Jerry Chaney on a fantastic finish at his first 70.3 at Oceanside last weekend! We bonded over our passion for social justice - and Jerry is an experienced competitive athlete, but was new to triathlon when he reached out to me for coaching. Brand new to swimming, we start at the beginning. I am so proud of how he listened to his coach, dedicated his time and gave up much of his social life to make this happen. First thing he said to me when we talked after?? “Ok coach, time to get faster!” Yesss letsssss goooo! 👏

Congratulations to Bruce and his relay team on Oceanside 70.3! Bruce has been focusing on swimming lately in training , and he had a blazing swim PR of 38 minutes. Way to go Bruce!! Proud of you!

A big congratulations to Lee on an amazing performance at Oceanside. A 27 minute Course PR - and a finish time of 5:14 - he left it all on the course. Lee is such a joy to coach and I love helping him chase big goals! Next up- Berlin Marathon! 👏

Congratulations to Julian on an excellent first 70.3 finish at Oceanside this weekend! Julian is a great student and checked every box of his training plan, trusting the process. He had a frustrating bike with multiple mechanical issues but finished with a fabulous run and strong finish. Well done, Julian! Can’t wait to see what’s next! 👏

A big congratulations to Lee Adamowicz on a blazing fast time of 1:32 at Carlsbad Half Marathon! Just a few seconds off his open half PR, Lee showcased a fantastic race ex*****on and set himself for a great season ahead. Well done, Lee!

On this Medal Monday, congratulate Bruce Murray on completing Carlsbad Marathon with a 40 minute PR! It was a very warm day for January, temperatures reaching high 70s by the end of the marathon. Fighting knee pain and considering dropping out halfway, Bruce rallied and got it done!

Well done Bruce. I am proud of you and onto the next! 👏

Huge congratulations to Ethan for finishing his first 70.3 in La Quinta on Sunday! 🥳🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Funny enough, we first connected on Instagram because I followed him after seeing him on a TV show I watched (yes, I admit it 😂). Then he posted about signing up for his first 70.3… and somehow a coach/friendship was born.

When we started working together, he couldn’t swim more than a lap, didn’t own a wetsuit, and was pretty much diving into the unknown. But what he did have was drive—and he balanced training with a full-time job and a packed schedule like a champ.

I’m incredibly proud of Ethan for trusting me, letting me boss him around for the last several months, and showing up for every challenge. He crossed that finish line in a very respectable 6:11, and earned every second of it.

It was also such a joy to finally meet him and his girlfriend in person at the race. Moments like that make this whole coaching thing even more special.

Well done, Ethan. This is just the beginning. 🙌🔥

Another success story from La Quinta 70.3 is Shirley. Shirley just completed her first full Ironman in Arizona 3 weeks ago, and turned around to beat her first 70.3 time from April by over 25 minutes. Her first year in the sport, and she has been fully coachable, following the plan and balancing a full time job and parenting two small humans. She is a joy to work with and I can’t wait to see what’s next. But first - she has a well deserved off season! Well done, Shirley! 🌟
