Looking for that retro kick drum setup?
There’s a hack for that! Take an old drumhead and cut out the inner portion, leaving at least 1.5” of material inboard of the collar. This prevents hardware from rattling, protects the bearing edge by keeping the reso hoop intact, and allows for easy access to place and change muffling, mics, etc.
