Landon Leads Peru Tigers 8U Past Lewis Cass Kings Red 8u

Landon B collected four hits in four at bats, as Peru Tigers 8U defeated Lewis Cass Kings Red 8u 16-13 on Saturday. Landon B singled in the fifth inning, singled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Peru Tigers 8U came back to win despite trailing 5-0 in the first.
Lewis Cass Kings Red 8u jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jadex singled, scoring one run, Merritt singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored two runs.
Peru Tigers 8U tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to an error, a single by Henry H, and a ground out by Grayson G.
In the top of the second inning, Lewis Cass Kings Red 8u went back into the lead after David singled down the left field line, Mackie tripled down the right field line, and Nash singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.
Peru Tigers 8U took the lead, 9-8, in the bottom of the second thanks to singles by Landon B, Henry H, Ezeki G, and Blake U.
Lewis Cass Kings Red 8u made the score 12-9 in the top of the third after Brayson singled, scoring one run, Kole tripled, scoring two runs, and David singled, scoring one run.
Peru Tigers 8U tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to an error, and a single by Blake U.
In the bottom of the fifth, Peru Tigers 8U broke up the tie when Nash induced Dakota H to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored. Then a single by Landon B followed to extend the lead to 16-12.
Peru Tigers 8U piled up 19 hits in the game. Brooks B, Jacoby D, Tucker D, Owen R, and Ezeki G each collected multiple hits for Peru Tigers 8U.
