We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who supported the Gold Rush Rodeo this year. Overall, we consider this first year to have been a tremendous success in many ways.
This rodeo was put together by a very small team, and while we certainly experienced our share of hiccups along the way, we learned a great deal that will only make this event stronger in the years to come. There were countless individuals, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who stepped up to help make this event a reality, and we look forward to recognizing them properly in the coming days.
We know there have been frustrations, particularly regarding some of the community events. While we worked in good faith to keep everything as timely and organized as possible, we ran into several challenges with tracking results, determining payouts, and managing those details while actively running the event itself. We truly appreciate the patience, understanding, and support that so many of you have shown us throughout this process.
Despite the challenges we faced, everything came together remarkably well. Even the weather, which seemed determined to test us, cleared at just the right times each night and ultimately worked out perfectly for the event.
We will be sending out a feedback form soon, as we genuinely want to hear from our community about what worked well and what can be improved. Our goal is to make the Gold Rush Rodeo stronger each and every year.
Thank you for your support, your patience, and for believing in the vision of bringing the Gold Rush Rodeo to Idaho City. We are incredibly excited about what the future holds and can’t wait to make next year’s event even better.
