We’ve never really done a post like this before, but sometimes there are things that deserves to be recognized. We want to give a big shoutout to Caiden Hubbard.
Caiden has spent his entire football career working his tail off at the quarterback position. Coming into his senior year, it became clear that he wasn’t going to be the starting QB. Not because Caiden didn’t work hard enough or did anything wrong, simply because someone else had won the position.
And this is where Caiden showed what kind of young man he really is. He didn’t quit. He didn’t transfer. He didn’t complain, and he most certainly didn’t give up on his teammates. Instead, last year’s starting quarterback went back to work, learned an entirely new position, and worked his butt off until he earned another starting spot.
Caiden Hubbard is now the starting center! From taking snaps to snapping the football. That’s called being selfless. That’s putting the team before yourself. That’s character, and that’s leadership.
Caiden, we are incredibly proud of you. Football will eventually end for every player, but the character you’re showing as a teenager will carry you a whole lot farther than any position ever could. That’s the kind of thing people remember long after Friday nights.
