Coaching this team wasn't something I had planned for this past spring, but looking back, I truly believe it happened exactly when it was supposed to.
Not just for me, but for these 10 young men who bought into our expectations and trusted the process, even without fully knowing what they were signing up for.
From where we started to where we finished, the transformation was incredible. That doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of great kids, supportive families, and coaches who cared deeply about helping these boys grow.
We weren't perfect, and we never claimed to be. We made mistakes, faced challenges, had tough conversations, and learned from every one of them. Through it all, we kept showing up, working hard, and moving forward together.
Over the past six-plus months, I watched every single player improve—not just as a baseball player, but as a teammate and a young man. That kind of growth comes from development, effort, accountability, commitment, and believing in something bigger than yourself.
I've coached for more than 15 years, and this season was easily one of the most challenging. It also became one of the most rewarding. I poured my heart into this team because I believed these boys deserved someone who would invest in them, challenge them, and care about them beyond the game.
To our players, thank you for trusting us. To our families, thank you for your support throughout the journey. I hope each of you knows how much this team meant to me.
Also, shout out to two great coaches that went to battle with me every week, Coach Brittany and Coach Ness!
I already miss this group.
