Stop Using the Squat Pad!

This a common mistake made by bad trainers and uneducated lifters.

That Pad on the bar isn’t helping you.
It’s actually hurting your squat.

Here’s why 👇

1️⃣ It changes bar position
A squat is meant to sit on your traps or rear delts — not on a pillow.
The pad pushes the bar higher and forward, changing your mechanics.

2️⃣ It reduces stability
You’re putting a heavy load on something soft and unstable.
That makes the bar less secure — especially as weight increases.

3️⃣ It prevents adaptation
Your body adapts.
The discomfort fades quickly when your positioning is correct.

4️⃣ It hides technique problems
If the bar hurts, it’s usually a positioning issue — not a padding issue.

Strong people don’t need cushions.
They need proper setup.
