Firefighters Memorial Rockstars

🌟After a tournament where we had so much success we thought we would recognize both an offensive and defensive rockstar.

🎸 Lucy Pritchard
Lucy held down 3rd base for us all weekend. On the weekend Lucy had a total of 11 PO. When thinking back on the weekend there were two occasions where her softball knowledge was apparent and she was able to turn double plays.

🎸 Adyson Minner
Adyson’s bat is always one that grabs the eyes of anyone watching our games but this weekend she really displayed the power and nearly cleared a regulation field. Adyson had 12 hits with 8 of those being XBH.

As the “Transfer Portal” is opening we have been receiving a lot of messages. As a rule, we do not hold tryouts for existing teams until August so we can focus on our current rosters and give those players the attention they deserve.

🎸May Madness Rockstar - Gabby Ondrejcak

In our second ever player pitch tournament as a team, Gabby was perfect at the plate with a 1.000% BA, an inside the park HR on an absolute missle over the right fielders head, drove in 3 RBI, and had 2 stolen bases on the weekend. Her performance was a standout and earned her some well deserved recognition!!

Alpha Academy 8u is your 17th Annual Jerry Myers Firefighters Memorial Champions!

The girls came prepared and with the goal of bringing home a championship…… they completed the task. After playing five teams across two days, they were able to show how their continued dedication to their craft has paid off; the bats were explosive, the defense was next level, and the hustle never quit.

To say we are proud of these girls is an understatement. The team will enjoy this win and begin preparations for the next step over the coming weeks. This was our official last tournament as a Coach Pitch team. The girls will be finishing their 8u season off playing 9u and 8u MKP tournaments!
