Though the course is no longer open, we did a recent inventory of our concession stand. As a result we have discovered we are missing the following items: 8 cans of pringles, a case of rubber gloves, all of the dish sponges, 8 rubber bands, and all of the used motor oil that was used to prevent rust on the chains. We do have a suspect, and the picture is attached to this post. Please tag the individual if you know them...

Please note: these are the short 'snack size' Pringles cans, not the full size cans.

Hello Chainbangers! Valley Disc Golf Association is branching out! We have partnered with Korey Hamrick and his Suzuki Factory Team to sponsor Korey's newest rider, Tyler Cornell!!! Beginning THIS WEEK at High Point MX, Tyler will be mentored by the best of the best in Korey... though Tyler currently rides a KTM USA, Korey has assured us that he is working behind the scenes to get Tyler a BRAND NEW 2012 Suzuki RM85 2-Stroke. With Korey's mentorship, and a new bike, Tyler should see a significant uptick in performance. Being a part of Hamrick Racing brings a lot of advantages to Tyler, and one of those advantages is the services of Korey's handpicked mechanic, Jeremy Conner! Jeremy is currently on probation with Korey due to an "incident" AOMC.mx, and can only unload and load Tyler's bike, but he should be able to earn his spot as chief mechanic back. Everyone wish Tyler Cornell good luck and congratulations!!!!

In the meantime, come on out to the Valley Park Disc Golf course, before the last round of frolf on July 1, 2024! We received final word that the course will be closed permanently on June 30! Our apologies!

Long time, no post, folks! But we are back with some good and bad news. As you may have heard, the WVDOH is trying to take our holes! Specifically, holes 3, 4, and 6!!! This is very upsetting for our frolf community and the dudes that use Grindr to meet truckers at the rest stop, and use our frolf course as their access. Yes, this is bad news... BUT... we have a hero! Our own local pro, Hunter Craig, and his employer Advance Auto Parts have come up in a huge way to help out. From now until July 4th, Advance Auto Parts will be dumping used oil on the thin line of property the DOH is claiming. This will turn the grass black, and also deter pets and small children from wandering from the park. We will be calling this 'Operation Landing Strip'... and Grindr users, dont think we forgot about you! That 'other' auto parts store A*** Z*ne has donated 15 small rainbow flags to mark a path in which there will not be used oil, in which Grindr users can take to meet truckers. Just remember, Advance Auto Parts will have you banging chains, and A*** Z*ne will have you banging dudes! Thank you, Hunter and the Teays Valley Advance Auto Parts for your donation of 250 gallons of used oil to be poured on the grass!!!

Course Pro update... Hunter Craig crushes it two days in a row! Though he was not playing his own home course, on Sunday Hunter dominated his 5-some at the Bridge Park Disc Golf Course!!!
In addition, Hunter won the Wine Cellar Open on Saturday, April 6! Hunter won the entire tournament in dominating fashion, and took home the prize money of $17.56. This brings Hunters career winnings up to an incredible $17.88!!! I guess drinks at Bogey's are on Hunter!!!

NOTE: The fifth individual on the scorecard below has been redacted due to their embarrassing high score. Witnesses state the frolfer was under the influence of a combination of energy drinks, Delta 8, and gas station speed. As a result, they have been banned from playing the pro-course here at the Valley Disc Golf Association. This ban is only for the pro-course and he/she may still play the handicap/children's/women's course.

Hole Dedication!

Today is President's Day and our Board of Directors gathered with VDGA Resident Pro, "The Primal" Hunter Craig, to dedicate his hole to the people! Hunter follows in the line of great men, and here at the VDGA we felt it was fitting to dedicate Hunter's hole on a day in which we celebrate another great man, George Washington. Hunter is not a United States President, he cannot tell a lie but his disc drive COULD chop down a cherry tree! Hunter chose the 4th hole here at Valley Park, WV to be his special hole because of its difficulty. So for all of those 'chain-bangers' who think you're coming to the "House that Hunter Built' and easily slip it in his favorite hole, you've got another thing coming!!! Congratulations to Hunter!!!

For this week, if you get it in Hunter's new hole, you get a free Affliction Energy drink. Just let one of the concession stand workers know of your accomplishment! (We know the concession stand works are blind, so this is an honor system!)

It was a rainy, mild, weekend here in Putnam County, not ideal conditions for a round of disc golf. However, we had some individuals tough it out! Our Valley Park Course Pro, Hunter Craig, was out of commission on Sunday February 11 with the 'liquid flu'. We felt it was fitting to lower the United State flag at Valley Park, and fly Hunter's favorite Affliction shirt at half-mast and our Board of Directors did a round 'In Memorial' for his absence. Afterward, with the rain causing high humidity, it made for a great photo opportunity as the Board relaxed after the round with their box mods and grape bubble gum e-juice! Cheers to all and get well soon Hunter!

ATTENTION ON THE COURSE: Due to a large increase in the number of Canadien Girlfriend's that are being claimed, the VDGA Board of Directors convened an emergency meeting and has made the single most important declaration since 1776. Henceforth, and per updated VDGA bylaw 1.1a, only one (1) Canadien Girlfriend per six-month period will be recognized as counting towards an athlete's permanent record. As most of the Canadien Girlfriend's being claimed are posted to Facebook, the six-month period will begin the moment the claim is posted to the athlete's "wall" or the date the athlete claims in the posted caption, whichever is earlier. For clarification the VDGA is providing a random example: Athlete "X" makes a Facebook post on February 5, that they got a hole-in-one on Basket 7 at Bridge Park in Hurricane WV. That athlete would then be ineligible to claim a Canadien Girlfriend for the next six-months. The earliest Athlete "X" would be eligible to post another Canadien Girlfriend would be August 5. Penalties range from VDGA 'Reporting' the offending Facebook post as false or misleading information directly to Mark Zuckerburg up to, and including, arrest.
