Heads up: the Hurricane Skatepark at Hurricane City Park will be closed from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Friday, April 26th.
This is for a very fun reason! Our friends, the Putnam County Clover STEMs, will be hosting a video shoot that will be used in a very special project AT the Skatepark in the near future! Stay tuned for details that project. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support of these kids who are doing something for the community. Please help us spread the word. Signs will also be posted at the Skatepark today so that our regulars can have a heads up in advance.

*** SKATEPARK REOPENING ***

The Hurricane Skatepark will reopen Wednesday June 14th at 8:00 am.

While there is still a little bit of work to be done (fence, turf/grass area for spectators and a few other small things), it is substantially complete and ready for use!

The lights will be functional by Wednesday and, for a couple weeks, will remain on all night. Once we receive the proper equipment to allow users to turn the lights on for their use, that will be installed and they won’t have to stay on continuously.

Hope everyone enjoys this wonderful addition to Hurricane City Park!
