The boys showed a lot of heart this weekend and competed against some of the best teams in the country. We win together, we lose together, we pray together. These boys get to hit the field together again this Saturday in South Charleston, WV at the Mayham on the Mountain tournament.

11U RB Jaxson Gilmore out of Gallipolis, OH brings a great balance of power and speed to the Lightning backfield. Jaxson has the ability to get tough yards in between the tackles and wear down a defense, but also has the speed and athleticism to break big plays. Looking forward to seeing him drag defenders in our opening game Saturday morning.

11U QB Tucker Davis brings a big time arm and a great ability to read a defense at a young age. This type of QB to go along with a big physical o-line and dynamic playmakers should make for an exciting offense. You may recognize the WR Tre Straughter on most of those plays. Straughter was Tucker’s teammate at Hurricane, and now this duo is together once again with the Lightning. Tucker’s father Kenny Davis is a former 1st team All-American WR and was part of the 2008 and 2010 West Virginia Lightning Minor League Football USFA and AAA National Championship Teams. Welcoming 11U OL/DL player Bo Carmon and his father 11U OL coach Jesse Carmon. Bo joins the team having previous playing experience with the Rock Hill (OH) Red Men and will bring a high level grit and toughness to the Lightning team. Coach Jesse brings a long history of coaching experience, and playing experience at the collegiate and arena football levels. Jesse was also a member of the 2010 WV Lightning minor league football team which won the USFA Championship and the Minor League Football AAA National Championship.
