Team Bio – 2025 Season

Meet the crew: Captain Cody Bryant, Co-Captain Jody Minchew, Brian Belk, and Waylon Bryant.

2025 is our rookie year on the saltwater tournament scene, and we couldn’t be more fired up! We’re rolling into the big leagues as one of the smallest single-engine boats in the field, fishing head-to-head against some of the fiercest competitors on the water. A Bluewater 2150 with

serious history — the very last 2150 ever built by legend Paul Skilowitz. She’s powered by a Suzuki 250, dialed in with Garmin & Simrad electronics, and rolling steady on a Road King trailer. She may be compact, but she’s all heart and all fight — just like us. We couldn’t chase this dream without our partners who keep us sharp and tournament-ready:

Start making plans now — the 2026 SKA National Championship Powered by Yamaha will be held November 18-22 in Beaufort, North Carolina, with tournament headquarters and weigh-ins at Town Creek Marina.

This year’s championship, Powered by Yamaha, promises another exciting showdown among the SKA’s best anglers as they compete for the opportunity to be crowned SKA National Champion.

Additional details, including event schedule, registration information, and member activities, will be announced as the tournament season unfolds! We'll see you in Beaufort!
