We enjoyed having the Peyton Walker Foundation with us last week teaching us about sudden cardiac arrest. The girls learned about CPR and got certified and now know what to do in an emergency! Thanks for coming and for all you do to continue to spread the word through Huddle for Hearts! ๐๐ค๐
Last week, the Lower Dauphin Field Hockey Team earned their 2-year CPR & AED Certification through the Peyton Walker Foundation's Huddle for Hearts program.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is the leading cause of death among student-athletes, and being prepared can make all the difference. Through Huddle for Hearts, we're helping student-athletes gain the knowledge and confidence to recognize a cardiac emergency, perform CPR, and use an AED to help save a teammate, coach, spectator, or loved one.
Just as important as the training is making sure an AED is present and easily accessible at every practice and every game. Prepared athletes, trained coaches, and accessible AEDs create safer teams and stronger communities.
