This week, we’re thanking Vance Metal Products for fueling the next generation of Auburn Engineering motorsports talent.
Auburn University Autosport competes in endurance racing in the Southeast. What started as a student hobby project is now a full-fledged student-led team running out of the Auburn Engineering Makerspace.
And it’s because of supporters like Vance Metals, which donated the materials needed for the vehicle’s roll cage and other safety components. The company recently gave a financial contribution that will allow the team led by President Eli Burchell and Vice President Turner Brook to get to their next race.
“This was just going to be a race team,” said group vice president Turner Brook, “and now it’s an Auburn race team.”
