Not quite the finish we were hoping for last weekend, but plenty to be proud of.

A few strategy changes, some new positions, and lots of growth. Huge thanks to Voorheesville Baseball Club and the Adirondack Swamp Donkeys for some great competition.

Shoutout to Tucker for taking the mound, Trevor for stepping behind the plate, and Garrett, Wyatt, and Jayden for embracing roles outside their comfort zones. That’s what being a great teammate is all about.

The boys competed hard, showed great sportsmanship, and left it all on the field.

There may have been signs that Coach John A. Lewis’ birthday is tomorrow… 🎂⚾

Last week he bought a pitching machine. Tonight he headed to the cage for “private lessons.”

Funny thing is, Coach Lewis was the one taking swings. 😂

To be fair, somebody had to show those boys how to hit a 70 mph fastball.

Between the pitching machine and the new Pocket Radar, we may need to remind him that coaching travel baseball is a volunteer position—not a professional baseball comeback tour.

Happy Birthday, Coach! 🔥⚾

Our page may have been quiet lately, but our Cage Heat boys have been busy! ⚾

👀 We spy Toby and Myles with the Germantown Majors Little League Championship Trophy! 🏆

Congratulations to the Germantown Little League Majors on an outstanding season and championship win. We’re especially excited to see Cage Heat teammates Toby and Myles celebrating this incredible accomplishment.
Championships aren’t won overnight—they’re earned through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and a love for the game. We’re proud of these boys and all they accomplished this season.

Last night, our team came together for something bigger than baseball.

Each of our boys placed their bats by their front doors as a sign of support, hope, and prayer for Xavier, who is courageously battling for his life after a tragic accident on the field.

In a game that teaches competition, moments like these remind us what truly matters—community, compassion, and standing together when one of our own needs us most.

Please continue to keep Xavier, his family, teammates, coaches, and friends in your thoughts and prayers. We are all one baseball family.

Today we celebrate one of our Cage Heat boys as he joins the double-digit club! 🔥

Jacob, we hope your birthday is filled with family, friends, cake, and plenty of baseball. Thank you for the energy, hard work, and positive attitude you bring to the team every time you step on the field.

Now it’s time to celebrate today and get ready for a big doubleheader this weekend! We can’t wait to see you back out there doing what you love.

Game 2 didn’t go the way the Cage Heat boys wanted, falling to the Cape Cod Clippers after a tough fourth inning. Sometimes baseball tests more than your bats and gloves — it tests your confidence, your energy, and your belief in yourselves.

Yesterday, the momentum shifted and our boys got discouraged. But this game is a reminder that failure, adversity, and tough losses are all part of the journey. Nobody will ever give up on these boys except themselves.

This team is talented. This team is capable. And this team has already shown what they can do when they believe in each other and play with confidence. One rough inning does not define who they are.

Jacob battled on the mound with 6 strikeouts, and despite the final score, these boys continue to learn lessons that go far beyond baseball.

Today, we hope this rain delay turns into an opportunity — an opportunity to reset, refocus, show up, and show out against the Guilderland Bulldogs.

Keep your heads up, boys. The Heat keeps moving forward. 🔥⚾
