Ever have one of those days where you just don’t feel like working out?

Me too.

The truth is, motivation comes and goes. Some days I feel strong and energized. Other days, I’d rather do just about anything else.

The difference isn’t motivation—it’s showing up anyway.

Not every workout needs to be your best workout. Sometimes the win is simply getting started. Sometimes the win is finishing even when you wanted to quit.

The people who see results aren’t the ones who are motivated all the time. They’re the ones who keep showing up when motivation disappears.

Today wasn’t about crushing a workout. It was about keeping a promise to myself.

And those days count too.

Want to get stronger at pull-ups?

Doing more pull-ups isn’t always the answer.

In this video, I’m working on an overhead kettlebell waiter carry and elevated ring rows. These exercises build shoulder stability, grip strength, scapular control, core strength, and stronger lats—all important pieces of a pull-up.

Sometimes progress comes from strengthening the parts behind the skill, not just repeating the skill itself.
