Working equitation is a discipline that truly suits the Lusitano — because, at their core, they are working horses.

They thrive on having a purpose alongside their riders, which is why they excel in the obstacle course, designed to emulate everyday fieldwork.

Some of our favourite moments, though, happen out on the farm — checking in on our mares and younglings, or simply enjoying the unmatched joy of riding outdoors.

Because for the Lusitano, work is more than a task. It’s a partnership and a way of life.

✨ Some horses are simply the stuff of dreams. ✨

Our Tributo WL was the very first foal sired by Principe SS, and we knew right away that we had chosen an exceptional sire. He truly is a Lusitano beauty.

In the words of our own photographer: “Tributo is such a special horse. He gave me the type of photos that I long to edit. He has such beautiful lines and perfect conformation, and his spirit really comes through in the pictures!”

Not many words are needed to present Santarém WL. ✨

Sired by Istambul SS, one of the reigning Working Equitation team champions, Santarém is the embodiment of a typical Lusitano.

And it helps to have a rider like Tomás da Isabel , who has been responsible for his training since he was just a yearling. From taking him to Ocala to claim the win to now beginning his under-saddle journey, their partnership continues to shine.

Time flies — and so does Tobaco WL! 🐴✨

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been two years since our bay beauty, Tobaco WL, won his category at USLA’s Model & Movements competition in Ocala’s WEC .

Fast forward to today, and what a transformation! Tobaco has developed into an incredible young horse — a real beauty with plenty of talent and potential. 🤎

He’s now been in work under saddle with our rider Tomás da Isabel for four months, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress he’s making. Want to know more about Tobaco? Get in touch!
