Sugar Land Youth Cricket Club At SLYCC, either we win or we learn... but together we have fun! SLYCC has been created to promote the game of Cricket in the SouthWest area of Greater Houston.

Sugar Land Youth Cricket Club & Community (SLYCC, est 2013) is a 501c3 Non Profit organization coaching kids the value of sportsmanship through the game of Cricket. We believe in making Cricket a fun sport to play for kids from the age of 7 to 14 and beyond. We coach cricket at 3 levels:
Level 1 - The Fun level where kids get introduced to the basics of the game. All kids get equal opportunity to

play, understand the game and have fun. (typically U10)
Level 2 - This is where things get serious but the game is still fun. We learn to be competitive, the laws of cricket start getting applied and kids begin to earn their position in the team. (typically 11-14 years)
Level 3 - Graduating from tennis ball / tape ball play to hardball cricket with pads, helmets and equipment. We bring in (or take you to) professional coaches with a serious emphasis on cricket being a major part of your teenage years. (typically 11+Experience)

There are no clear markings defining the above three levels. Younger kids with better skills can be moved up. Older kids, on the other hand, can play tape ball for fun.

Congratulations to the Sugar Land Youth Cricket Club U13 and U15 teams playing out of Four Corners Park on being crowned Champions of the TCCL Houston Fall Cricket League!

Fort Bend County is proud to support our youth cricket leagues through investments in our parks, and we are even prouder of these young champions whose hard work, perseverance, and teamwork made this achievement possible. What a special feeling - SLYCC U13 Stars & U15 Pulsars are Houston Champs!!! Winning the Colts Cricket League Playoffs at this morning.

The kids from Four Corners did it !!! Its not just the win but the fact that we did against all odds; losing our practice ground to reconstruction over the last 2 months, battling home work, injuries, band practices etc to win the Championships!. This is a win for ALL SLYCC's Coaches, Parents, Volunteers & Players.

Lets keep working hard, make cricket more accessible and more competitive! Big shout out to Fort Bend County Parks and Fairgrounds for supporting our requests, and the County Admis for continuing to build quality fields.

Proud to helm this flagship tournament this year. Ofcourse, with help from fellow club partners, sponsor partners - Triggers Colts Cricket League and Houston Cricket League - HCL ! Big Thanks to all the Volunteers who showed up every day from delivering water, to tying down tarps, to mopping fields, coordinating food - 850 food packets delivered daily !!!

Great start to the National Youth Cricket Tournament - Houston this morning. Thank you Commissioner Dexter L. McCoy for inaugurating the tournament throwing the first ball at Four corners park. 52 teams from all over North America are playing across 26 grounds in Houston over the next 4 days!!! Catch U11/13/15/17 and Houston Women's Cricket in an action.

We are proud to be associated with National Youth Cricket Tournament - Houston year after year since its inception in 2017. This year Sugar Land Youth Cricket Club is leading the effort in organizing this tournament, supported by all Youth Cricket stakeholders in the Houston area Colts Cricket League, Youth Cricket Consortium, Youth Cricket Houston Cricket Club , Houston Women's Cricket and ofcourse, the Cricket League AKA HCL.

Thank you Fort Bend County Parks and Fairgrounds for getting the cricket fields ready to welcome over 50 teams from all over North America in Greater Houston area for one of the longest running cricket tournaments in USA.
